The Focus Method

How training works at KHP Gym Sandyford - a structured, personalised approach to whole-health fitness.

Your training, built on four essential pillars.

The Focus Method is the structure behind how we coach at KHP. Every member trains across all four pillars of physical development:

  • Strength

  • Range (flexibility / mobility)

  • Endurance

  • Skill

These pillars form the basis of every session, giving you a well-rounded, capable, resilient body over time.

Choosing your Training Focus.

While everyone has the option on any given week to train across all four pillars, in the onboarding process we’ll ask you if you want to select a ‘Focus’ from one of our Primary Pillars (Strength , Range or Endurance). Your chosen Focus determines where we place the greatest emphasis in your programme. When you choose your Focus, we’ll tailor your training to have a higher percentage of your Programme targeting your Focus area.

  • A Strength Focus means a higher percentage of your sessions will prioritise strength development.

  • A Range Focus places greater emphasis on range, control and movement quality.

  • An Endurance Focus increases the conditioning and capacity work within your training.

You can still develop in all areas — you simply focus more on what matters most to you right now. You can choose to switch your Focus whenever you want.

Skill is a supporting Pillar, meaning we work with you on technique development and refining movement patterns across the Primary Pillars.

Choosing your Nutrition Focus.

Once you choose your training focus, you then choose a nutrition focus that supports it. Each training focus has two tailored nutrition pathways designed to match your goals and priorities.

 Strength-Focus Nutrition Focus Options

  1. Lean (build strength with controlled body composition)

  2. Build Muscle (support strength gains with hypertrophy-focused nutrition)

Range-Nutrition Focus Options

  1. Recover (reduce inflammation, improve tissue quality)

  2. Sustain (balanced approach for long-term consistency)

Endurance-Focus Nutrition Options

  1. Performance (optimise energy and stamina)

  2.  General Health (steady, maintainable nutrition)

This pairing ensures that your training and nutrition work together — not against each other.
